Joyful Reunions!

Hello!!
We have so much to catch you up on from our last month, so we decided to do a lot of pictures and just a few words!

We enjoyed a day at Wray's Camp in Cayes where they have a waterslide, a gym, and many other fun activities.

We daringly tried some grilled chicken that we bought from a street vendor!

A Sunshine Box arrived from the Wettstein's and made our day!!

We hired some Haitians to build us some concrete steps to our roof, so we don't have to climb a ladder anymore (with a full laundry basket on the hip!)

Another beautiful Haitian sunset!

Brenna with her friend Orrin!

The kids had a dress-up day at school, so they went as the Hardy Boys and made Brenna be Aunt Gertrude!

We love visitors!!!  Mike, Amber and Jayden Grimm(our dear friends!) came to spend about a week with us!  It was a huge blessing for us to have them here, and we enjoyed some fun activities (and some work!).  The first few pictures are of our visit to Jimmy's bee hives and tasting some fresh honeycomb!

Hiking to the hydro is always fun!  The kids love swimming in the waterfalls!

Cleaning and Organizing day

I was so glad to have Amber here to help me with this mess!!!

Wow!  It's a new room!

On Valentine's Day we made special heart cookies!

A couple day after the Grimms left.....  We had a joyful reunion with my parents!

Pops made some Haitian friends!  He used the machete to cut a coconut for these boys!

We hiked a short mountain behind our house.

Delicious coconut milk!

My dear mother helped out a lot with laundry etc.!

The last day they were here, we enjoyed a beautiful afternoon at the beach.  We also ate a Haitian meal of chicken, shrimp (with the eyeballs still in), rice, grease gravy, fried plantains and French fries.

Mom and Dad also got to be here for the kids' History Fair which they presented on Friday evening at school.  The kids were very glad for Grandma and Grandpa's support!

Brenna was Amy Carmichael.

Hadley was Ty Cobb.

 Toby was Sam Walton.

Reggie was John Deere.

We are so thankful for the time we have had with our visitors over the last couple weeks!  It has been a big encouragement for us!
As we move ahead, we would appreciate your prayers as Kurt started his job at the hospital a month ago, and we all are trying to get used to a new routine.
