Counting Down!

Hello!
From today it is only 6 days until our first furlough (Our vacation to the states).
We took a weekend trip to a beach house about an hour and a half away from our house.
We had a medical work team at the hospital and had a missionary family over for supper one night.
(Note from Mom:  Please be prayerful for our safe travels, good health, and quality time while we are visiting in the States.  Looking forward to seeing many of you!)

The Yordy family came to our house for supper and games.
They live in Les Cayes.

This is a cashew! The thing coming from the top is the cashew
and the red part is called the cashew fruit!
It is really weird looking but they grow in Haiti!

Brenna and Hadley like riding on each others shoulders.

We took a trip to Zanglais!
There is a beach house for missionaries to use!

We went with the Christensen's who are from Cayes.

The girls stayed at the beach house and
the boys hiked up in the mountain behind the beach house.

The Christensen's Haitian friends came with us!
Joab is 18 and came up the mountain with the boys.
Sabena is 16 and stayed with the girls.

We camped at about 2000 feet above sea level!
Us three boys and dad hiked up to 3000 feet!
It felt like you were on top of the world!

We hired 2 donkeys to carry some of our stuff up the mountain.

In our backpacks and on our donkeys we carried clothes, tents, sleeping bags, a cook stove, all our food, and water!
It was a blast!

We had a medical work team over for games while they were here.

We were thankful to get some rain last Saturday.

We had the Klopfenstein kids over for supper and games
because they are leaving on furlough tomorrow.

The Klop girls are moving back to the States this summer, so the ladies had a night out in Cayes and went to a Chinese restaurant.
