Life Goes On

Hello!
There has been a lot going on including some beautiful sunsets, a visit to an old French Fort, fixing our fences, going to a cave, eating at a Chinese restaurant, swimming in a giant natural pool.
Here are some pictures of our past weeks.

Beautiful sunset from a lookout a little ways up the road from the hospital!

Reggie and I playing basketball with some boys on a work team!

We replaced our fence because the old bad wire wouldn't keep the chickens and dogs out.

Hadley pushed a Haitian boy named Francisco in the wheelbarrow.

 We went out to eat!
We ate at a Haitian restaurant in Cayes.
It was called the Nami Chinese Restaurant.
It was great, and the food was delicious.

We had great time at the Nami.

Fort de Platon is on top of a mountain and is an old French fort.
This is a window in the wall of the fort.

We walked around the fort on the wall!

 It was awesome!

There were huge underground storerooms.

It was overgrown, but it was awesome!

The road to the fort was steep, rough, with lots of hairpin turns, and no guard rails on the edge to stop you from falling down a cliff.

Tet Lakile is an under ground lake that is about 30 ft deep.

The water comes from an underground spring.
It was awesome!

We swam in some rapids about 1 mile down the river from Tet Lakile.

We went to caves! They were awesome and had bats!

Mom and dad like to take walks after supper and sometimes they go to this lookout by the hospital.

We got a new concrete pad beside our house. It is awesome for basketball and we play there almost every day!

Hadley's teacher in the US visited us while she was on a work team in Cayes.
